The Genesis of KnowGet
The idea for KnowGet was born out of my own experiences and the challenges I observed in the financial world. From a young age, I was driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and financial trading. By 16, I was actively managing investments and navigating complex financial markets. However, I noticed a significant gap in accessible, reliable financial education and mentorship.
In late 2022, grappling with the difficulties faced by traders and investors, I recognized the need for a comprehensive platform. KnowGet was conceived as a solution to these problems - a space where users could access expert-led courses, connect with experienced mentors, and find trustworthy fund managers. With a focus on scam prevention and substantial trading funds, KnowGet aimed to offer a complete support system for financial success.
The Turning Point: Finding the Right Co-Founder: Building KnowGet required more than just a vision; it needed technical expertise and collaboration. That’s when I turned to Y Combinator’s co-founder matching platform and matched with my co-founder on July 5th, 2024. Through this process, I connected with Stephen Echeruo, a talented full-stack software engineer. Stephen's expertise in both front-end and back-end development, coupled with his passion for creating impactful solutions, was a perfect match for KnowGet’s needs.
Our partnership was transformative. Stephen’s technical skills and my strategic vision came together to shape KnowGet into a reality. This collaboration allowed us to tackle development challenges and innovate more effectively, to bring our shared vision to life.
